I went through the marketing cases that Tesla China held in 12 months and reported to the marketing managers and product manager. The visual materials I found through the research inspired me to design the campaign page.

Campaign user journey

After meeting with marketing team at Tesla, we confirmed the form of the campaign. We discussed the platform and possible gifts that both sides can provide to expose the event.

Design process

AI photo generator helps me quickly explore ideas and present to stakeholders.

According to the function map based on three main features: companion, discovery and cognition, we designed the XR interfaces.

AI generated illustration inspiration

Using Image Creator by new bing, I was able to try different illustration style in a short time. This helped me present ideas to the marketing team and product manager and inspired my design.

Takeaways

Technology would change the way we think of design

Save save extra for co-workers: When it comes to collaboration, it’s important to save extra time for co-workers. I learned to set clear deadlines with developers since we have a campaign duration and launch date.

Keep the consistency of design: I design the logos, banners and elements following product visual. The fluent design guidelines and previous documents taught me a lot.

Higher view of product decisions: Although most of my work at PCM team is not design related, I get to see the holistic planning and event launching for each sprint from excellent PM.

Design for joyful experience: Although this is a small gamified project, I am so happy to learned about designing for enjoyment and took a break from business goal.
